As soon as have appeared concepts using solar energy source as the company announced mobile phone Blue Earth which will be shown next week in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress 2009. As it is not difficult to guess from the name, it will be “eco-friendly” phone. With a touch-sensitive display, certainly.

The main distinctive feature is the solar battery on the back side which is an alternative source of accumulator charging. Samsung accentuates that it is the first smartphone equipped both a touch-sensitive display and the solar battery simultaneously.
The device case is made from non-polluting materials.

The user interface also pays owner’s attention to ecology problems. For example, there is a pedometer which compares excretion of carbonic gas by the person at walking to an exhaust of carbonic gas of the car which has overcome the same distance.

The Inquirer asserts that the reason of delay of implantation of 40nm in mass production became high leaked currents. This problem was not solved and level of power consumption of the 40nm chips manufactured by TSMC hardly will essentially improve. AMD and NVIDIA plan to byu the video chips from TSMC therefore the problem will concern their production.

The noncommercial organisation OLPC initiating on distribution “student’s notebooks” in cost of $100, has anticipated in due time netbooks appearance. The problem consists that OLPC it was not possible to lower cost price XO to the comprehensible sum, and low models extended to a commercial basis netbooks still could be bought for $150-170. Somewhat, idea OLPC has been realised in a commercial field though the difference in “the question price” was not such considerable.

Here is my solution. I think it is quite good and have one important advantage: spam processed before putting to MySQL thereby reduced CPU load.

It must be said I am familiar with command line interface since MS DOS 3.0, and I believe in comsole is more comfortable way to do many things. The more so I spend many years with Linux. Hereto I’m not afraid black screen and small blinking hyphen :) (more…)
