Sparkle will cool video cards with nanotechnology
Now the fashionable word “nano” gets accustomed also in serial products. Carbon nanotube for a long time are known In technologies of computer components cooling - usually they are used for creation of a high termotransfer.
Sparkle informs that was possible to develop a method of plotting of a coating from carbon connections on a surface of cooling heat sinks of videocards. The coating has received name Diamond-like Carbon (DLC). It is known that diamond and graphite are near relations, therefore at molecular level scientists can create the structures using better qualities of both substances.
The membrane from DLC reduces a thermal resistance of the heatsink surface. By the same material can be used as cover for RAM chips heatsinks. Incidentally the high-strength carbon coating protects heatsinks from scratches and oxidation.
Sparkle does not name periods of implantation DLC in mass products, referring to high cost of technology and uncertainty of economic conditions.
